Republicans say they care about everyday Americans. 

But right now, they are using the 2023 Farm Bill reauthorization process to cut essential funding from the bill—hurting everyone from farmers to low-income families to people who want to see urgent climate action. 

That's because the Farm Bill goes way beyond providing much-needed support to farmers. It literally shapes our food supply—and can help reshape it to make it more resilient under the threat of climate change. 

In other words, what's happening right now in Congress with the Farm Bill matters to all of us.

Republican-proposed cuts would jeopardize food access for millions of families across the country. On top of that, it would cut funding that is overwhelmingly popular with farmers—resources to grow climate-resilient crops, support better agricultural practices, and ultimately lead to more sustainable food for all of us. 

No person should go hungry because Congress failed to act. The Farm Bill is an important food and climate bill, and it needs to be defended.
