“If you’re wondering or think your kid is doing it, one approach is to say: ‘I know a lot of kids are vaping now. It’s all over the place. I assume some of your friends are doing it. What do you think about it? What do you know about it?’ You can get a vibe from how they’re answering. It doesn’t have to be one conversation in one day – you can keep going at it.”

Our free and confidential Online Support Meetings are for parents and caregivers of teen and adult children experimenting with, or dependent on, substances – marijuana, alcohol, opioids or others. These meetings are solution-based – we discuss real-life issues and skills you can use to address them. Meetings are led by trained volunteers that have lived experience with these issues – they offer a welcoming and nonjudgmental atmosphere. Also available are tailored meetings for specific situations, such as grief groups.
