Hi
John,
You joined us and called on 3M to stop peddling PFAS because of the link to breast cancer during our annual Think Before You Pink® campaign. Earlier this year, the U.S. House of Representatives passed precedent setting legislation, the PFAS Action Act (H.R. 535), which will regulate PFAS. Now it’s the Senate’s turn to vote YES!
Take action! Tell your Senators to vote YES on the PFAS Action Act.

The PFAS Action Act (H.R.535) will:
- Hold the Environmental Protection Agency accountable by setting deadlines for PFAS action.
- Designate PFOA and PFOS, two of the most well-known PFAS associated with many health harms, as hazardous, and require the Environmental Protection Agency to determine whether the rest of the class of chemicals is hazardous as well.
- Implement a national drinking water regulation for specific PFAS.
- Establish programs to help communities clean up PFAS-contaminated water sources.
Despite growing evidence of PFAS being linked to significant health harms, including breast cancer, companies are continuing to develop newer PFAS which are just as harmful. In order for the Environmental Protections Agency to have the tools to protect us, they need the authority from Congress.
Join us and urge your Senator to support the PFAS Action Act because the time for PFAS regulation is long overdue!
In Solidarity,
Karuna Jaggar
Executive Director
