Campaign for National Parks

The most popular way for our supporters to give to National Parks is coming back this Christmas!

At Campaign for National Parks we're fighting for a future where nature can thrive in our National Parks. Earlier this year we celebrated the win of Government strengthening the laws which support nature recovery in Protected Landscapes. Now we're campaigning to see these changes delivered.

By teaming up with The Big Give, for one week only you'll be able to double your donation at no extra cost to you. Donations to our wilder home for nature appeal open at 12 noon on Tuesday 28 November until Tuesday 5 November.

OUR CAMPAIGNING WIN: WHAT'S NEXT?

Last month the Levelling Up and Regeneration Act received Royal Assent. This will secure delivery of more effective Management Plans and putt in place stronger duties on public bodies such as water companies to contribute to the delivery of these Plans for nature.

However with the election on the horizon, how will this shake up in Government affect planning reforms in our National Parks?

FREE LANGUAGE LANDSCAPES WORKSHOP AND DISCUSSION EVENT

Join an informal creative workshop and discussion event to explore the words, stories and memories you associate with the landscape of Wales.

The session will be 2pm-3pm on Thursday 16 November at the National Park offices in Penrhyndeudraeth and will be held in Welsh.

The aim is to discover together how language connects us to the nature around us. That might be anything from a story of being in nature to myth, place names, or particular words. This workshop will involve group discussion, quick writing exercises and other activities.

The responses will be used to create a podcast on these themes, which will also tour the country as an audio installation – including in Eryri-Snowdonia.
