Supreme Court Hears Arguments Over Louisiana Abortion Law

The subject of abortion was front and center at the United States Supreme Court this morning as the nine justices heard arguments concerning a highly anticipated case titled June Medical Services v. Russo.

For about an hour the legal advocates argued for and against the constitutionality of a Louisiana law passed in 2014 that requires abortionists to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Says People of Faith Use Scripture to “Justify Bigotry”

At a House Committee Hearing last Thursday, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) described herself as “a woman of faith,” saying, “and it is part of my faith, that all people are holy, and all people are sacred, unconditionally.”

Ocasio-Cortez went on to say, “It’s very difficult to sit here and listen to arguments in the long history of this country of using Scripture and weaponizing and abusing Scripture to justify bigotry.” She then compared people who believe God’s design for marriage and sexuality to “white supremacists,” “those who justify slavery,” and “those who fought against integration.”

Virginia Passes Radical Abortion Law that Will Leave Preborn Babies and Women Vulnerable

A year after Virginia Governor Ralph Northam espoused the practice of infanticide, the Virginian legislature officially removed abortion regulations that were protecting women and preborn babies. It’s a demonstration of what happens when a Red state turns Blue. 

In many ways, 2019 was a fantastic year for the pro-life movement. From Heartbeat bills in several states to a total abortion ban in Alabama, there was a lot of momentum for the pro-life cause. Much of the strong pro-life action was driven by radical pro-abortion laws in New York and Virginia and the shocking statements made by Governor Northam about infanticide.

Alleged Sexual Assault by Wisconsin High School Teen Against Minor in New “Gender-Neutral” Bathroom

What could go wrong? Last October, Rhinelander High School in Rhinelander, Wisconsin converted one of its bathrooms to “gender-neutral” in order to “create a safe and inclusive environment for everybody,” according to a school representative. It was intended to accommodate students who identify as either transgender or transitioning, but it could be used by anybody, male or female.

Predictably, the new bathroom created an unsafe environment. In late February, a male high school boy, Austin Sauer, was arrested for alleged acts of child enticement, fourth degree sexual assault and exposing genitals to a child. The sex of the victim was not disclosed, but also not hard to guess.

Senator Schumer Threatens Gorsuch, Kavanaugh Over Abortion, Earns Chief Justice Robert’s Rebuke

Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) on Wednesday issued a direct threat to two conservative Supreme Court justices, warning that they better not rule against abortion, or else.

In a rant directly in front of the steps of the Supreme Court, Senator Schumer angrily pointed to the court, pounded his fist and said, “I want to tell you Gorsuch. I want to tell you Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price! You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”
