I am excited to share that a young woman rejected abortion and embraced life after talking with a member of your Live Action team!
The 21-year-old mother reached out to us on Instagram. She was pregnant, scared, and looking for support because she was under pressure to have an abortion from her family. In addition, she said the father did not wish to raise a child with her and she felt extremely alone.
She had been following Live Action’s Instagram page for a while and reached out because she knew that we would have the resources to help her.
Our team at Live Action encouraged her and directed her to life-affirming resources, including a pregnancy resource center that she decided to visit in her local area. After finding support and care, she embraced life! This is the message that she sent us:
John, so many women don’t even know that pregnancy resource centers exist. They don’t know of all their options —that they can find resources, support, and care while pregnant—and even after their babies are born! The media simply directs vulnerable women to Planned Parenthood where they are lied to about all of their options other than abortion.
When this young woman considered what abortion does to a defenseless human being, she changed her mind.
“I always thought I was pro-choice until I got pregnant,” she writes. “I sat down and thought about the [morality] of my decision…and how my baby is an innocent 3rd party. She deserves life just as much as anyone else and it made me feel terrible to even consider an abortion when I knew I had a helpless, innocent baby inside of me depending on me.”
She hopes her story can encourage other pregnant mothers who are considering abortion to choose life.
John, these stories make my day. We hear almost daily from people who follow Live Action on social media that our content changed their views on abortion.
I want to encourage you in the fight that no matter how dark the world may seem, there is hope. Life is winning and people are seeing the truth.
