After weeks of chaos, House Republicans voted to elect one of the most extreme Speakers in United States history, Rep. Mike Johnson. So who is Mike Johnson, and what does his election mean for our country? Here is the bottom line: he's not just extreme; he is dangerously so.

Rep. Johnson was one of the architects of the plot to overturn the 2020 election in Congress, undermining the very foundations of our democracy. He supports imprisoning doctors for performing abortion services, infringing on women's reproductive rights. And he believes that LGBTQ+ people should be purged from our neighborhoods, promoting discrimination and hatred.
