*What kind of Raffle license does my organization need?***

*Small Raffle* *License*- Prizes cannot exceed *$500 *in *_TOTAL_* per drawing date?"includes all cash, purchased (retail value), donated (retail value) *and* ticket seller incentive prizes (retail value)"

License cost is a minimum of $15 for one, two or three drawing dates, $5 for each additional date.

?

*Large Raffle License*- Prize amount is unlimited for each drawing date

License cost is $50 per drawing date.

*_?_*

*_Example 1_*

My organization is having an event and we have several smaller prizes.? If we add all the prizes together that were donated, purchased, and provided as ticket seller incentive prizes the total retail value is less than $500.

-Your organization can apply for a small raffle license.? _Just remember though_ if more prizes become available, they *cannot* be included in this raffle drawing if it would make the total retail prize value for that day more than $500.

*_Example 2_*

My organization is having an event and has many small prizes.? We are still receiving donated prizes for our event and we are not sure if the total retail value will be over $500.? We might also want to do a 50/50 and we don?t want to cap the prize amount.

-Your organization should apply for a Large Raffle License. If you don?t know the total retail value of all prizes and there is a chance you will exceed $500 a large raffle license is needed.? A large raffle license does not have a limit on the prize amount.

*_Example 3_*

My organization wants to have a raffle drawing every Wednesday from 7pm-10pm at our club for the next 4 weeks.? Week one the total retail value of all prizes is under *$500*.? Week two the total retail value of all prizes is under *$500*.? Week three the total retail value of all prizes is *$550*.? Week four we still are not sure what the prizes will be, but so far, we have *$450* in the retail value of donated prizes and we expect many more.? We might also like to award some cash prizes on this last week.""

-Your organization can apply for all dates on the same license. Weeks one and two are each a small raffle drawing date.? Weeks three and four would be large raffle drawing dates.? This should be indicated on the application.? Be sure that your organization does not go over the *total *$500 retail value limit for week one or week two.
