Team,
Yet another poll is showing Donald Trump in a dead heat — a statistical tie! — with President Biden.
With all that’s happening in the world, it’s a wake-up call that nearly half of voters would still hand power back to a man who gleefully sides with authoritarians and bullies. Let’s review some of his recent positions: - Trump said that, as president, he wouldn’t defend Ukraine against Russia in any way.
- In fact, Trump said America shouldn’t defend any of our NATO allies if Putin attacked them. (Needless to say, that would mark the end of that 74-year alliance.)
- Trump even praised the terrorist group Hezbollah for being “very smart” in the days after the horrific terrorist attack in Israel.
Imagine for a minute a world in which that man is once again the president of the United States — asked to deal with the very immediate, very real, and very daunting crises we’re facing. It’s a terrifying thought. But it’s one we all have to consider as we think about the year ahead.
For anyone who’s been closely following Trump’s legal troubles in the hopes that they’re going to finally bring him down, it’s time to face the fact that we can’t just hope for the best. We all need to have a stronger plan to keep him out of the White House.
I helped start Operation Saving Democracy because voters need to hear loud and clear, over and over again, what’s at stake in this election — chip in to fund this campaign and let’s refuse to leave anything to chance.
Thank you, Amy |
