Schweikert wants people on Ozempic??

Paid for by Arizona Democrats

Their audacity knows no limits, team.

Republican Rep. David Schweikert (AZ-01) suggested giving Ozempic, which is normally prescribed to type two diabetics and has NOT been approved as a weight-management medication, to “morbidly obese populations” that rely on government health programs and agencies like Medicare, Medicaid, Indian Health Service, and the VA.

This is a disgustingly fatphobic low for David, who voted AGAINST the Inflation Reduction Act that reduced the deficit and lowered the cost of life-saving drugs for hundreds of thousands of Arizonans.

That’s why we’re asking for a dollar today. Just one dollar to defeat David in Arizona’s 1st and win the majority in the House next November. Can we count on you to pitch in a dollar (or more!) today?

Schweikert claims that Congress isn’t willing to do “the things that are difficult” (like cutting Social Security or Medicare spending) but he has no problem requiring everyday Americans to dangerously misuse medication.

It would’ve been really easy to vote for the legislation Democrats have continued to put forward that has lowered the cost of medications, like insulin, that Arizonans rely on.

It would be really easy for David to break away from the extremists in the House and work across the aisle on a bipartisan leadership solution.

David isn’t even willing to do the easy things to help Arizonans, but will use his platform and position to advocate for dangerous things that put Arizonans at risk. If everyone reading this far pitched in just a dollar today, we’d be able to get ahead on our strategy to defeat David and the extreme right next November. So, can we count on your contribution today?

Together we can put an end to this extremism. Thank you in advance for your contribution!
