Hi John, it’s Mayor Joe Hogsett.
Election Day is mere days away, and I wanted to talk to you about my vision for Indianapolis.
But first, I want to say that throughout this campaign, I have been humbled and inspired by the outpouring of support from folks across this great city. Meeting with voters and getting a chance to hear about their day-to-day lives, their ideas, and their concerns fill me with the purpose and passion to do this work.
It’s because of them that I know our city’s brightest days still lie ahead, and I’m ready to continue rolling up my sleeve to ensure that stays the case.
During my time as Mayor, we’ve balanced budgets, hired over 700 new police officers, passed a historic five-year $1 billion infrastructure plan, helped reduce the cost of college education, and are implementing a public safety plan to combat the scourge of gun violence in this country.
I’m incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made, but don’t get me wrong, I know we’ve still got a lot of work to do.
That’s why I’m running for re-election. I want to see our public safety plan succeed, our downtown and business districts revitalized, and folks all across the country to find their home right here in Indianapolis.
That’s my vision for Indianapolis, and I know we can get it done. Are you with me?
Thank you,
Mayor Joe Hogsett
