New polling from Data for Progress confirms what we already know: Americans are ready for public power. A strong majority of likely voters nationwide — 68% — said they support having a publicly owned utility as their local utility provider.1
Maine’s Pine Tree Power ballot initiative — on the ballot NEXT WEEK — is our chance to set that blueprint for states to follow across the country. But the investor-owned utilities in Maine are spending big money to confuse the voters, and Maine polling shows that this race is tied up with a huge number of voters still undecided on whether to vote YES.
