We emailed you recently about the perilous state of our democracy. Since then, things have only gotten worse.

After weeks of infighting, the Republican House finally elected Rep. Mike Johnson as the new Speaker of the House of Representatives. This is bad!

Mike Johnson supported overturning Roe v. Wade, he opposes same-sex marriage, and he tried to overturn the 2020 election. He is a dangerous man to have in control of the House.

If you agree, sign our petition to tell the House Republicans that the American people deserve better than an insurrectionist in charge in Congress and second in line to the presidency.

It took Republicans three weeks to pick a new Speaker, and they chose an extremist who blames women getting abortions for mass shootings — it couldn't be any more on brand for MAGA Republicans.

Nobody benefitted from the weeks of Republican infighting, and everyone loses with Mike Johnson as the new Speaker of the House. If you agree that the GOP made the wrong decision, sign our petition to show House Republicans that we disapprove of the new Speaker.
