Dear John,
Monday night, ADL celebrated its 29th Annual ADL In Concert Against Hate, and as we have seen with heartbreaking clarity since the October 7th terrorist attack on Israel, antisemitic harassment, violence and vandalism are increasing at a rapid pace. And yet, Monday night was a time for our community to come together and remember we continue to be on a journey toward justice.
Through the stories of our honorees, we witnessed the power of hope – and the ability of ordinary people to make an extraordinary difference in the fight against antisemitism. We were inspired by the beautiful music of the National Symphony Orchestra and our talented roster of hosts and performers: Julianna Margulies, Micaela Diamond, Tovah Feldshuh, and many others. We also highlighted the plight of the more than 200 hostages being held by Hamas – babies, children, the elderly – and demanded their unconditional and immediate release. There is no excuse for kidnapping civilians and we will not rest until they all come home. |
