November is officially here. And there is far too much on the line in upcoming elections — from abortion to gun reform to climate action — to sit on the sidelines. Vote Mama has been springing into action, strategically investing in key battleground races, up and down the ballot and across the country.
We’ve already endorsed over 100 pro-choice Democratic moms running in the 2023 and 2024 cycles, including 16 state legislature candidates in Virginia, the last Southern state without an abortion ban after the fall of Roe. Democrats need to flip just 3 seats next week to win back the VA House of Delegates, block an abortion ban, and protect abortion access for MILLIONS of women in the South. But if Republicans maintain control, Governor Youngkin has promised to enact an abortion ban, remove Virginia’s red flag laws, and set progress in Virginia back decades.
We also have moms running for School Board seats against extremist Moms for Liberty opponents. In case you have never heard of them, Moms for Liberty is a prominent far-right group of moms that has been classified as a HATE GROUP. Yes, John, an actual hate group of MOMS.
And after the dumpster fire that Republicans have made of Congress, it’s clearer than ever that Democrats MUST take back control of the House so that our elected leaders can get back to actually working for the American people instead of wasting time bickering within their own party. But if Democrats want a real shot at the House majority next year, we need to lay the groundwork NOW by winning in 2023.
Everything we’ve worked so hard for comes down to these final few days. We’ve got less than a week to help our candidates reach voters before Election Day, and we absolutely CANNOT afford to lose any steam. We urgently need ALL hands on deck to push through these last 6 days remaining — but I noticed that you haven’t had the chance to contribute anything yet this election cycle, so I have to ask you honestly:
