Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids

John,

After a long fight that we waged along with our partners, the Biden Administration is soon expected to issue final regulations eliminating menthol cigarettes and flavored cigars . This will be a historic victory to protect kids from tobacco addiction, advance health equity and save hundreds of thousands of lives, especially Black lives.

But this battle is far from over. Big Tobacco is going all-out to stop these lifesaving rules from being implemented. We're gearing up for this new fight, and your ongoing support is critical to our success. [[link removed]]

IN THE COURTS
The tobacco companies will immediately sue to challenge the regulations. Our legal team will fight them every step of the way, ensuring the courts know the overwhelming scientific evidence supporting these regulations.

IN CONGRESS
Big Tobacco's lobbyists are already pushing for legislation to block the regulations. We’re working to prevent them from succeeding – meeting with members of Congress, providing policy briefs and more.

IN THE MEDIA
The tobacco industry is spreading disinformation about these regulations, as they have for years. We will redouble our efforts to counter the industry's lies through truth-telling ads, aggressive media outreach and hard-hitting grassroots campaigns.

Through it all, support from advocates like you is critical to ensure that we keep winning this fight.
