There are two State of Kansas job fairs next week.? The Virtual State Agency Job Fair is November 15th.? The in-person job fair is Wednesday, November 8th from 10 am - 6:00 pm at the State Capitol Building in the 1st floor rotunda.? The Kansas Council on Developmental Disabilities (KCDD) serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities through advocacy, public policy, and education.? The Council's mission is to empower individuals with I/DD and their families to lead systems change, build capacity, and advocate for inclusive, integrated, accessible communities where everyone belongs and thrives.??
In this webinar, KCDD will provide an overview of the Council's work, including current programmatic and advocacy efforts as well as a brief overview of the Intellectual and Developmental Disability Waiver and resources to assist with service navigation.?
?KU Transition to Postsecondary Education (TPE)
You?re invited to an upcoming KU TPE Jayhawk Info Night in Wichita, Overland Park, Emporia, or Manhattan in November, or a KU TPE Jayhawk Info Zoom in November or December!
KU Transition to Postsecondary Education (KU TPE) is a two-year, inclusive undergraduate certificate program at the University of Kansas for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Our Fall 2024 application period is open and the early application deadline is Jan. 1, 2024.
We are hosting KU TPE Jayhawk Info Nights to share info about KU TPE and answer questions. Join us in person:
- Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 6:30 p.m. in Wichita
- Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 6:30 p.m. in Overland Park
- Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 6:30 p.m. in Emporia
- Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 6:30 p.m. in Manhattan
We also have a few Zoom sessions scheduled in November and December; visit our website for details.
Jayhawk Info Nights and Zooms are free and open to anyone who wants to learn more about KU TPE.
