Democracy Awards

I was delighted to host East Sussex County Council's Democracy Awards in Parliament, celebrating the great efforts our young people have gone to in promoting political awareness and engagement with the democratic process.

Alzheimer's Research UK

Did you know our constituency has the second-highest rate of Alzheimer's in the UK? I met with Alzheimer's Research UK to find out more about how the Government can further assist with new research. The device I am wearing simulates the dementia experience.

A lively debate with Bexhill College

This week, Bexhill College came to Parliament to find out more about how we work for them. I took some brilliant questions from the group during a lively debate.

Question on Flybe

After the news that Flybe was going into administration, I asked the Aviation Minister for the third time when airline insolvency reform legislation will be introduced.

Heathrow expansion

I asked the Minister, in the event the Supreme Court ruled in favour of Heathrow expansion, to confirm that the Government would not intervene to stop expansion occurring.

Hospital Improvements

Along with other East Sussex MPs, I met with our local hospital team to discuss future investment and their superb CQC inspection rating.

HS2 Costs Overrun

I was a guest on the Public Accounts Committee session during which I questioned the Dept for Transport and HS2 Ltd about costs and delays.
