For every $1 dollar donated to AWHC, 80 cents goes directly to powering the programs we operate to preserve the freedom of America’s wild herds. And the other 20 cents? That money is invested in the operations that ensure these programs continue year after year. Check it out →

Our critical programs include:

✅ Operating the world’s largest humane fertility control program for wild horses;
✅ Working with wild horse champions in Congress to pass protective legislation;
✅ Challenging the federal government in court when it breaks laws in place to protect wild horses and burros;
✅ Conserving key habitat through our land trust; 
✅ Investigating negligence, abuse, and corruption in federal management programs;
✅ And rescuing slaughter-bound victims of the federal Adoption Incentive Program.
