Policies for Aciton
Special Announcement

To advance equitable and inclusive policies, we need greater diversity in policy and law research. Today, Policies for Action is pleased to announce a new funding and mentorship opportunity for early-career researchers from underrepresented or historically disadvantaged backgrounds pursuing innovative policy research that can help everyone have a fair and just opportunity to live their healthiest life.

Six researchers will receive up to $250,000 over two years to:
  • Investigate existing policies or policy changes that can influence population health, well-being, and equity;
  • Engage in career development activities and mentorship;
  • Produce and translate timely research results; and
  • Collaborate with other researchers to create a healthier, more equitable future for all people in America.
We welcome all policy research ideas across a range of possible sectors, political ideologies, and perspectives. By policies, we mean laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels as well as private-sector practices.

Letters of intent are due October 2, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. (EDT). We invite interested researchers to attend a free informational webinar on Wednesday, September 4, 2:30–3:30 p.m. (EDT). Registration required.
