Housing on Our Mind
The lack of affordable housing in Teton County affects everyone and the environment. Join Teton Dems and Shelter JH to learn about local efforts to address this issue AND how to effectively communicate with our local and state elected officials Wednesday, Nov. 15th, 5:30pm at Code Red Restaurant.

There are a plethora of crucial issues before the legislature in its upcoming budget session (Feb. 12 - March 8, 2024). It is incumbent upon all of us to make our voices heard. We will provide legislative updates throughout the session, with contact links. Quality of communication is as important as quantity.

Our joint event with Shelter JH ([link removed]) will provide guidance, tools, and delicious refreshments.
We support accessible, stable and dignified housing options for all economic and cultural groups, regardless of citizenship, and community-wide funding measures to make it possible.

Fighting Against Book Bans
ACLU of Wyoming ([link removed]) is seeking pledges in opposition of efforts in Wyoming to criminalize or censor books about race, gender, or sexual orientation. This will be shared with our Wyoming legislators.

Please share widely as they are trying to get 500 signatures!

Upcoming Events
November 6 and 7 - The Future of Stilson Park
JHMR and Teton County will share design and use options for Stilson Park. The open house events are scheduled for November 6, at the Presbyterian Church of Jackson Hole at 5 p.m. and November 7, at the Wilson Elementary School at 5 p.m.

November 9 - Proposed Auction of the Kelly Parcel
The Office of State Lands and Investments (OSLI) will hold four (4) public hearings regarding the proposed disposal of State Trust Land in Teton County, also known as the "Kelly Parcel". The intent of the public hearings is to solicit comments from the public regarding the proposed disposal of State Trust Land. Teton County Library Auditorium, 5:30 pm.

November 13 - Northern South Park Update
Teton County Planning Commission - you can tune in on Zoom or attend in person at 6pm at the County Administration Building (200 S. Willow St. Jackson). Click here ([link removed]) for the Planning Commission agenda and Zoom info one week prior to the meeting. The meeting will include an update on the project, review of the draft regulations, and how they will implement the adopted Neighborhood Plan which was approved in July of 2022 and can be found here ([link removed]) .
