New earned sick and safe time resources created

The Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) has created a video and FAQs to help Minnesotans better understand the earned sick and safe time law, which goes into effect Jan. 1, 2024.

Attend an event for National Apprenticeship Week

Events are scheduled throughout Apprenticeship Week (Nov. 13 to 19, 2023) to celebrate Minnesota apprentices and programs and share the benefits of the earn-as-you-learn workforce model. View more and register for an event.


Apply for a registered apprenticeship grant?

Grants are available to existing registered apprenticeship programs to upskill apprentices and incumbent workers in new technologies. Learn more and apply.


Frontline Worker Pay program wins national award of excellence

Minnesota's Frontline Worker Pay program was among three state of Minnesota projects receiving top honors at the 2023 National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) State IT Recognition Awards. Thirty-one finalists nationwide were honored across 10 categories. Minnesota also received honors for its drone bridge inspections and a driver and vehicle services' virtual chatbot.

MNOSHA fatality, serious-injury investigation summaries online

Each month, Minnesota OSHA (MNOSHA) Compliance publishes current, updated summaries of its fatality investigations and serious-injury investigations.

For the federal-fiscal-year that began Oct. 1, 2023, MNOSHA has investigated two fatalities through Oct. 31.

The information provided about each investigation is:? the inspection number, date of incident and worksite city; the type of business and number of employees; a description of the event; and the outcome of the MNOSHA Compliance investigation.

The Department of Labor and Industry ensures Minnesota?s work and living environments are equitable, healthy and safe.
