Hi there,
I wanted to share an update on the Ending Agricultural Trade Suppression (EATS) Act and similar legislation—which could wipe out state laws protecting pigs, chickens, and baby cows from extreme confinement.
But first, I want to thank you for your support, your compassion, and your deep care for the animals. When we set out to take down this dangerous bill, we knew there was a long road ahead—and we couldn’t have gotten this far without you.
You’ve probably seen how much Congress is in chaos right now, preventing anything from getting done—including the Farm Bill. That gives Big Pork more time to pressure lawmakers to overturn state animal protection laws and sentence millions of animals to a life behind bars.
But this delay also gives us more time to persuade Congress to do the right thing and uphold these state animal welfare laws. We need your help to ensure we have the resources to keep the pressure on in the months ahead.
The world’s strongest animal protection law, California’s Proposition 12, is at stake. The integrity of our election process is at stake. And millions of animals’ lives are at stake.
We’re up against an industry with billions of dollars and massive government influence. But the law is on our side—and so is the power of collective action. As long as these state laws stand strong, animals are protected from the worst forms of abuse.
And as long as people like you keep showing up for animals, factory farming interests don’t stand a chance.
Gratefully,
