Unknown,
NBC News detailed that Hamas receives $100 million per year in financial support from Iran. This money, in addition to weapons and training from the regime, have enabled Hamas to turn Gaza into a terror fortress.
Iran’s support for terrorism extends beyond Hamas and Hezbollah on Israel’s southern and northern borders, to include terrorist groups operating against U.S. forces in Iraq and Syria. In the past three weeks, American troops have been attacked 19 times by Iranian-backed forces.
Now, it was reported that Iran has now eclipsed Saudi Arabia as the country moving the most oil by sea around the world. These surging oil sales enrich a regime that is actively destabilizing the Middle East while advancing its own nuclear weapons program.
This week, Congress is likely to consider significant pieces of bipartisan legislation—including the SHIP Act—that help cut off the flow of money and resources to Iran and Hamas.
Congress might also vote on a resolution reaffirming America’s commitment to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
