PARAMUS - Today, Micheline Attieh, Gail Horton, and Barry Wilkes, candidates for New Jersey’s 38th Legislative District released the following statement:
“Ørsted’s decision to abandon projects that would continue to hurt New Jersey ratepayers, marine life, and our vital tourism economy is undoubtedly a win for us all. This fiasco, however, also raises serious questions about the judgment of Senator Joe Lagana and Assemblymembers Lisa Swain and Chris Tully, who voted just a few weeks ago to give this foreign offshore wind company a one billion dollar, taxpayer funded bailout. From the high cost of living we are all facing due to their overspending to this latest green energy scheme that has fallen through after substantial taxpayer investment, Lagana, Swain, and Tully continue to show that they cannot be trusted with our hard-earned dollars." - Micheline Attieh, Gail Horton, & Barry Wilkes
Legislative District 38 includes Bergenfield, Fair Lawn, Glen Rock, Hasbrouck Heights, Little Ferry, Lodi, Maywood, Moonachie, New Milford, Oradell, Paramus, River Edge, Rochelle Park, Saddle Brook, South Hackensack, and Teterboro. The district was recently named by national Republicans as a targeted race in the upcoming November elections.
