Team,
Today, the House is once again voting on the expulsion of George Santos.
Five months ago, I forced the first House vote on Santos’ expulsion, and every single Republican voted to virtually kill the bill by referring it to the ethics committee.
Since then, 10 new felony charges have been brought against Santos, including ones that accuse him of credit card fraud and identity theft.
Now, 5 Freshman Republicans from New York have reintroduced the notion to expel Santos and we have a real opportunity to get this liar and fraud out of Congress.
From where I stand, the choice is simple. We must come together as Congress to expel George Santos. He is a fraud and a liar, and he deceived his voters. It’s time for him to go.
But this vote is about more than George Santos himself. It is about the accountability of lawmakers. Because no one should be able to serve in Congress when elected on the basis of lies and deceit, and no person is above the law.
Thank you,
Robert Garcia
