When the Left Says, “Border Security,” They Mean Increasing the Flow
- President Biden is asking Congress for $13.6 billion in “border security funding.”
- But when the Left says, “border security,” they don’t mean securing the border, they mean increasing the flow.
- The president’s $13.6 billion request includes funding for additional Customs and Border Protection officers to process more illegal aliens quickly into the U.S. and buy more plane and bus tickets to move illegal aliens to the nation’s interior faster.
- Biden’s request would fund more federal bureaucrats to hand out work permits faster. It would cut travel time and costs for people not authorized to come to America by paying to fly illegal immigrants directly in rather than having to walk to the border.
- Customs and Border Protection announced that they encountered over 2.4 million inadmissible aliens at the southern border in fiscal year 2023, which ended Sept. 30. The funding sought by Biden’s request would make the border crisis worse.

Former Campus Radicals Now Teach Your Children
- After Hamas butchered hundreds of Israeli civilians and raped and injured thousands more, dozens of student groups at Harvard, Columbia, and other elite universities did the unthinkable: blaming the victims and expressing support for those committing unspeakable atrocities.
- The statement issued by a coalition of 31 student organizations at Harvard held “the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence.”
- What do these hateful ideologues do after obtaining their diplomas? To find out, we searched for the career histories of a sample of 300 former campus radicals identified by Canary Mission. More than a quarter of them are in higher education, either as graduate instructors or as professors. One-tenth of them work in schools for younger children.
- In total, 38% of the kinds of people who once marched around campus chanting about decolonization go on to teaching careers. This is more than double the 16% who pursue careers as activists in advocacy organizations.

BLM and Palestinian Groups Are Cut From the Same Radical Cloth
- Black Lives Matter (BLM) founders Patrisse Cullors and Alicia Garza, and other BLM luminaries, were immersed in the ideology that Israel is the oppressor, another white settler-state just like the U.S., well before they founded BLM in 2013 and created a network in Ferguson in 2014.
- Palestinian activists were in Ferguson, Missouri, in 2014, when BLM was forged into a global movement. But their ties with BLM’s architects actually precede BLM’s founding.
- In 2007, seven years before Ferguson, Palestinians participated in the opening in Atlanta of the U.S. Social Forum, a gathering node of the international Left that was then setting roots in the U.S. The USFF issued a declaration calling the creation of the state of Israel a “catastrophe,” which had led to “ethnic cleansing.” Alicia Garza, one of the founders of BLM, was there, too, leading a delegation of 30 black and Hispanic activists.
