The new Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, is on record saying that the problems Americans face today are because we “didn’t maintain 18th century values.” What “values” are he referring to, exactly?

Slavery? Only white, land-owning men being afforded rights? Settling disputes by duels?

The fact that this guy is dictating the GOP’s agenda is the most terrifying thing I can think of this Halloween.
