When I talk to my friends, family, and community members, no matter what our political beliefs or what walk of life we come from, we all seem to agree on one thing: Congress is not working.

Our government is facing a shutdown for the second time in two months. We were without a Speaker of the House for nearly three weeks. They finally elected someone, but he’s a far-right extremist. And Scott Perry is right in the middle of all of that chaos, refusing to support the simple bipartisan solutions that will make our Commonwealth stronger.

Put briefly, that’s exactly why I’m running for Congress. Because after years of telling the stories of Central Pennsylvanians on television, I’m ready to tell the stories of Pennsylvanians in the halls of the Capitol. And because Pennsylvanians deserve a leader who works to end the chaos, not a leader who’s instigating it.
