Dear John,

October has been an eventful month filled with all sorts of treats, starting with Pilipinx American History Month (PAHM). PAHM is a time of celebration of the diversity in the Pilipinx diaspora in the U.S., and it is also a time of remembrance of those who came before us, such as the Morro Bay Pilipinos and Farmworkers’ Movement organizers, Larry Itliong and Philip Vera Cruz. Pilipinx and Pilipinx-Americans make up one of the largest Asian populations within the undocumented community. PAHM has allowed me to reflect on my work and celebrate the undocumented Pilipinos that I work with, like Dean, Hans, and Cris. It is an honor to work alongside them and be in service not only to the undocumented community but also the Pilipinx community.

Happy halloween! 🎃
