Dear Friend,
We are at an urgent moment for this
Saturday’s National March on Washington to Free Palestine, and we need
your support. We expect that it will be one of the largest
pro-Palestine marches in U.S. history with buses coming from far and
wide based on the unity of many different organizations. But the
logistics and expenses for an operation of this size are immense and
we are at risk of running into a serious financial hole. I’m writing today to ask that you consider
making an urgently needed donation to help us cover costs for the
day.
To give you a sense of
things:
- The
sound and stage alone cost over $51,000.
- Each of
the 14 buses from Boston costs $6,950. Even though we fully expect to
sell every ticket (at $70), we will lose thousands of dollars per bus.
We’ve rented nearly 40 buses from New York City, each one likely to
yield a substantial loss.
- Each of
the portable bathrooms on site cost $1,100.
This is just a small sampling. The
total expenses are already over $300,000. Our organization is fueled
by teams of volunteers who have been working night and day in chapters
nationwide to help make this march a huge success. But we don’t have
the financial resources to maintain this without your help — please make a donation here. We’re asking you to
pitch in with whatever you can.
This Saturday’s message will send
an unmistakable and united message to the world: the people of the
United States, from all walks of life, demand that Gaza be allowed to
live. We will condemn the Israeli genocide and the Biden
administration’s policy that facilitates it. Thank you again for all
your hard work to get out the message of this movement. See you
Saturday!
In struggle,
