Trick or treat!

There was a time when I celebrated Halloween like anyone else – passing out treats, indulging in some fun-size candy, and checking out all the spooky, creepy, and wacky decorations around the neighborhood.

But ever since I decided to run for office, Halloween isn’t just Halloween anymore. It’s even scarier: the annual October End-of-Month fundraising deadline.

I’ve now become the trick-or-treater – but instead of candy bars, I’m asking for donations of $5, $10, or $25 to make sure we hit our monthly fundraising target.

I don’t mean to give you a fright on this Halloween night, but consider this me knocking on your door and saying “trick or treat.” So please, will you chip in whatever you can before the clock strikes midnight?
