Hey John, Every single life is precious. That's why I'm calling for an immediate ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
All over our country and our world, we can hear the calls for further violence ratcheting up. And we can already see the consequences: more fear, more hate, and less safety for all. The sickening rise of antisemitism and Islamophobia confirms it. Let me ask you: What would true security look like? What would true peace look like? I believe it starts with a ceasefire. That means the immediate release of hostages taken by Hamas, open access for humanitarian aid to Israel and Gaza, and de-escalation of violence. The October 7th attacks on Israel were absolutely horrific. And the bombing of Palestinian civilians -- including thousands of children -- is not the answer. We must center love and our shared humanity in every step we take. No more innocent civilians should be killed, period.
