After a brief pause, Trump’s gag order was thankfully reinstated by Judge Tanya Chutkan, who is overseeing the federal case on Trump’s attempts to overthrow the 2020 election. And Trump didn’t waste any time violating it. Trump has attacked Special Counsel Jack Smith on social media, who is prosecuting the case, as well as Judge Chutkan and potential witnesses involved in the case, in violation of the gag order. It’s clear Trump doesn't care about the consequences so far, including fines. It’s going to take much more serious punishment for Trump to finally be held accountable and stop his attacks – he should be thrown in jail.
