We enjoyed seeing you at Ghost Tours and Trick or Treat at Fort Bridger as well as our Annular Eclipse programs at Bear River and Sinks Canyon!? Fort Bridger trick or treat Volunteers in front of the Ranch House at Fort Bridger trick-or-treat. Thanks to Mason and the Biodiversity Institute for helping out with annular eclipse and bat programming at Bear River State Park! annular eclipse bear river District Manager Kyle and I - as well as many others - have been busy representing Wyoming State Parks and seeking new training opportunities! In the last three weeks we've attended two conferences (and a bonus banquet at another) as well as a training. "*What does this mean and how does it affect you? Read through to find out.*" From the National Recreation and Park Association conference, Kyle liked a session on public comment and I appreciated one about visitors with visual impairments - thinking about our programming and new Braille trail at Sinks Canyon! We were surrounded by thousands of parks and recreation professionals from around the nation learning what's working for them, how we can improve, and how we can be on the leading edge of the field of parks and recreation. And at NRPA... we represented Wyoming in a big way by accepting the Gold Medal Finalist award on behalf of Wyoming State Parks, Historic Sites, and Trails. *Wyoming State Parks named Gold Medal Finalist*

We attended the Process of Interpretive Planning Workshop, a special training brought to Evanston, WY (by Jessica Moore and Kyle Bernis) for 14 members of our staff and others from around Canada and the U.S. This great course taught us to look at new sites with fresh eyes. How do visitors see our signs? Is our wayfinding helpful? How can we continue to have the best experience for visitors at our sites? Process of Interpretive Planning Staff including Acting Director Dave Glenn, Manager of Wyoming Outdoor Recreation [ [link removed] ] Patrick Harrington, District Managers Misty Moore and Kyle Bernis, and District Ranger Angelina Stancampiano gathered with colleagues at Old Faithful this week for the Wyoming Hospitality and Tourism Summit. Tourism professionals from across the state gathered to learn about trends in the industry, what we?re doing well, and how to best accommodate visitor experiences moving forward. We enjoyed connecting with colleagues from around the state who work daily to send travelers to our great state parks and historic sites! hospitality and toursim summit
Wyoming office of Outdoor Recreation, Edness K. Wilkins, Guernsey, and Boysen State Parks represented at the Wyoming Recreation and Park Association conference in Pinedale! I was surprised with the Outstanding Young Professional Award. This is a statewide group of parks and recreation professionals working towards shared goals of improving lives of our community members.

We supply the super flattering Super Mario (or minion) overalls, helmets, lights and a funny guide to boot! This cave requires some crawling, but no super tight ?army crawl? - it?s more of a Gollum crawl (IYKYK). No Spidey-webs needed, there?s a rope to propel down and pull yourself up in one spot! No Batman here, it?s likely you won?t encounter any animals as the cave majorly floods each summer. Questions? Feel free to reach out!
