We know with confidence what it looks like for the GOP to control Congress: catering to the whims of MAGA extremists; threatening to shut down the government; radical legislation that yields nothing beyond cable news sound bites; and political grandstanding that serves only to divide us.
Their failed leadership squandered what could have been a month of progress in Congress. October was a month that we needed to get government funding sorted, to work on affordability for working families, to continue supporting Ukraine, to help Israel end Hamas' extremism, to deliver humanitarian aid for Palestinians trapped in Gaza. And. So. Much. More.
All this to end up with a Speaker who is an election denier, with deeply problematic beliefs on climate change, and dangerous views on abortion and LGBTQIA+ rights?
