Dear John, it’s frightening on campus now for many Jewish students.

Since the October 7th terrorist massacre by Hamas in Israel, we’ve seen a nearly 400 percent increase in antisemitic incidents across the United States. But this has been felt perhaps nowhere more intensely than on U.S. college campuses, where Jewish students have borne the brunt of severe antisemitic incidents, including assaults, intimidation and harassment.

ADL invites you to register now for a timely Fighting Hate from Home webinar this Wednesday at 3:30 pm ET as we discuss the rising antisemitism and hate that are being exhibited on college and university campuses across the country, and how we can speak out and take action to support Jewish college students.

Since the crisis started, we have documented incidents ranging from university professors praising Hamas during on-campus rallies, students being offered extra credit to participate in anti-Israel activism and even Jewish students being physically threatened on online campus discussion boards.

Join us to hear from ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt; Georgia Tech Hillel President Talia Segal, who is also on the Hillel International Israel Leadership Network; Shai Davidai, a Columbia University Assistant Professor of Business who has been a notable voice in speaking out about Israel and about Jewish student safety on campus and ADL Senior Director for Advocacy Shira Goodman. They will discuss the alarming environment on campus and how people concerned about the welfare of Jewish students can take action.

We want you to be part of the conversation with the panelists, so please bring your questions.

Jewish Students Must Feel Safe on Campus

In the wake of Hamas’ massacre, Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) and other student groups across the country have condoned terrorism and glorified Hamas’ atrocities against civilians, calling for ‘dismantling Zionism’ and potentially creating a hostile or discriminatory environment for Jewish and Israeli students. At over a dozen universities where this problem is particularly alarming, we are calling on the administration to investigate whether anti-Zionist and anti-Israel student groups are violating student codes of conduct.

Please click here to email the administration of these schools to urge them to take action to protect the safety and wellbeing of Jewish students on campus. Share the link with people you know who also have a connection to the school.

Thank you for speaking out. Jewish students — and all students — have the right to feel safe on campus.
