Dear MoveOn member,

This is a big moment in our work to disqualify Donald Trump from the 2024
ballot.

Right now, voters in several states are suing to remove Donald Trump from
the 2024 ballots in their states under the 14th Amendment, which prohibits
someone in public office who has "engaged in insurrection" or "given aid
or comfort" to insurrectionists from serving again.^1,2

The Colorado trial began yesterday.^3 Then on Thursday, the Minnesota
Supreme Court will hear oral arguments related to the case filed in the
state.^4

But you can bet that Trump and his MAGA allies will go into overdrive with
disinformation about the lawsuits, so we urgently need to raise awareness,
educate voters, and continue building momentum for the campaign to
disqualify Trump from the ballot in 2024.

To coincide with these consequential legal cases, MoveOn is going all-in
on this campaign in Colorado and Minnesota. And with enough resources, we
can expand this work to additional states and keep it up for as long as it
takes. We'll go into more detail below, but first, we have to ask: Can you
chip in $5 a month to power and sustain our democracy-saving
work to disqualify Trump from the ballot?

[ [link removed] ]Yes, I'll chip in monthly.

[ [link removed] ]No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

John, Trump is still the unrivaled front-runner for the
Republican nomination—and according to new Bloomberg state-by-state polls,
Trump would win the presidency if a Biden-Trump election were held
today.^5,6

But for Trump, his 91 felony counts aren't the only threat to a second
presidency. The other is the U.S. Constitution.^7

That's why the work MoveOn is doing to hammer home the message to voters
about Trump's criminality and why disqualifying him from holding public
office could not be more important. More than 400,000 MoveOn members have
urged their secretaries of state to disqualify Trump from the ballot. We
even ran a powerful ad during the first Republican presidential debate
calling for Trump to be disqualified.

Now, we're escalating our efforts and organizing in the states where Trump
is facing direct disqualification challenges from voters. Here is just
some of what we have planned:

* Running a massive letter-to-the-editor program to raise local
awareness of Trump's coup and increase support among voters for
Trump's disqualification.
* Launching digital ads to 1) encourage voters to sign their local
petition calling for their secretary of state to disqualify Trump from
office under the 14th Amendment, and 2) boost our video made with
former U.S. Secretary of Labor Robert Reich that breaks down exactly
why Trump should be disqualified and calls on voters to get involved
in our campaign.

We cannot afford to cut back on any piece of this work, but since MoveOn
is powered by members like you, we can do it and expand our work only with
your support. Can you chip in $5 a month to help make it
possible?

[ [link removed] ]Yes, I'll chip in monthly.

[ [link removed] ]No, I'm sorry, I can't make a monthly donation.

Disqualifying Trump from state ballots is going to be one of the biggest
political battles of the 2024 race, and Trump knows it.

It's why Trump is already spreading disinformation and lashing out to rile
up his supporters early, posting on his social media platform "Truth
Social" that using the 14th Amendment to disqualify him is "just another
'trick' being used by the Radical Left Communists, Marxists, and Fascists,
to again steal an Election."^8 And it's why in a recent interview with
conservative radio host Dave Bongino, he called this effort "election
interference."^9

It's clear that as Donald Trump battles these lawsuits in state courts,
he's also trying to fight back by influencing the court of public
opinion—and that's where MoveOn can have a massive impact if we have the
resources to fight with all of our might.

John, we're able to sustain our campaign to disqualify Donald
Trump only because MoveOn members like you are chipping in to fund it. And
with your help, we'll continue to go even bigger.

Please chip in $5 a month—or whatever you can afford.

Thanks for all you do.

Want to support MoveOn's work? Book bans have skyrocketed thanks to
right-wing state laws which have forced teachers to remove books from
their classrooms. In response, MoveOn is launching a "Banned Bookmobile,"
filling it with books that the far right has banned, and driving it around
to hand out those books, for free, in highly trafficked areas that will
attract media attention. To keep the Banned Bookmobile up and running into
2024, we need your help.

Will you start a monthly gift to power our critical work?
