john — I often say that the people closest to the work know best what will work, which is why down-ballot races are so important from coast to coast. Local legislators are members of the community who know their neighbors and how best to solve the problems they’re facing.

Next week, voters in Virginia will be casting their ballots in local races — and we need to do our part to turn out voters.

With a Republican governor in Virginia, electing down-ballot Democrats is the only way we can protect Virginia’s progressive causes, including gun safety laws, climate policy, and so much more.

And when it comes to abortion access, MAGA extremists in Virginia are trying to secure total control of the state government to ban abortion. They were one vote away from banning abortion before, so it’s no exaggeration when I say every last vote matters in Virginia.
