John, If you ask the GOP for a trick or a treat this season (I do not recommend), we already know the answer.

Republicans are dragging around their bag of dirty tricks including:
✂️ Cutting Social Security and Medicare — Americans’ hard-earned benefits
🏥 Eroding womens’ autonomy, putting womens’ health on the line and worsening the Black maternal health crisis
🏳️‍🌈 Discriminating against LGBTQ+ Americans and limiting their hard-won rights
🫴 Refusing to extend the expanded Child Tax Credit, leading to a sharp rise in child poverty

I could go on, but I don’t want to give you too much of a fright. You really can’t make this stuff up — the GOP agenda is terrifying enough to make your hair stand on end. All this to say, there is too much at stake for us to freeze in fear.

We have to work together as a movement, as Americans and as people who rely on leaders like Lauren to protect the rights we’ve worked so hard to achieve.

John, time is ticking and our deadline will end once the clock strikes midnight. We really need folks across our movement to help us out before then or we’re afraid we’ll miss our October goal.
