I am so proud of this grassroots team. This month, we became the Democratic frontrunner in this race, were recommended for endorsement by the California Democratic Party, and our last FEC report shows we have more cash on hand than our GOP opponent Mike Garcia.

This is just the type of progress we need before the busy holiday season and as we look toward our election year in just a few months. But with our success comes extra attention from the national GOP.

Mike Garcia has received millions of dollars from super PACs with extreme Republican ties in the past. It’s only a matter of time until more dark money floods this race.

Not to mention, we have already been attacked by Fox News and national Republicans. Our race is rated as a toss-up -- meaning we are firmly on the national GOP’s radar.
