As you know, friend, it’s an enormous privilege to represent Montgomery and Berks Counties in Congress.

Having said that, though, I must admit – these last few weeks in DC have been… a lot.

Three weeks of gridlock.

Three failed bids for the Speakership.

And the ultimate result? Mike Johnson – an anti-abortion, anti-LGBTQ+, election denier as Speaker of the House.

The elevation of Rep. Johnson to Speaker is yet another example of how out of step my colleagues across the aisle are with the needs and challenges of the American people.

And come 2024, we need to clearly show that the vast majority of Americans aren’t interested in the far-right extremism being pushed by GOP leadership – we do that by retaking the House majority.

In the last few Congresses, Democrats passed bipartisan legislation to address many serious issues before us – infrastructure, healthcare costs, green energy solutions, to name a few.

We need to get back to serious, solutions-oriented legislation. Next year, the path to the majority will run through our nation’s suburbs – and I’m ready to do my part defending the Philly suburbs with wide margins.
