We cannot afford to let extremism go unchecked in Texas or in our country.

The hateful agenda being pushed by Mike Johnson, the far-right caucus, and Greg Abbott here in Texas goes against the values we hold dear and is a direct threat to our democracy.

I will always fight against the growing influence of extremism, but the fight just got a lot harder in Congress.
