The Livestrong Loop - October 2023

Two women, breast cancer survivors

BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

Marisol was told she "was too young for anything suspicious," but she knew something wasn't right. After advocating for herself to get a mammogram, she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Krystal felt completely lost when she received the news that she had breast cancer, being the first one of her family and friends to face the disease.

Both women dreamed of becoming mothers one day but were disappointed to learn that treatments could negatively impact their fertility, not to mention that the preservation process was quite costly. That's where Livestrong Fertility stepped in, lifting these financial burdens by covering medication costs.

"The employees made me forget the stress of infertility and cancer by guiding me every step of the way! If it wasn’t for Livestrong, there’s a chance I wouldn’t be able to ever start a family of my own," Krystal said. "Thank you, Livestrong, for giving us all a shot at life, a light of hope through the darkest of days," Marisol reflected. Learn more about Livestrong Fertility
