John,
This is urgent: Wesley Bell just announced his campaign against Rep. Cori Bush for her seat in Congress.
Bell suddenly dropped out of his Senate bid to challenge Cori, but why would he decide to immediately change course and run against a progressive incumbent? One word: AIPAC.
Cori is leading the call for a ceasefire and immediate end to the Israeli government’s genocide against Palestinians, and groups like AIPAC are willing to spend whatever it takes to defeat her in 2024.
AIPAC spent MILLIONS of dollars trying to stop candidates who’ve called out Israel’s human rights abuses. Even before the violence escalated this month, they made it clear they’re going after Justice Democrats incumbents like Cori next year.
We can’t let Cori lose her seat in Congress for standing on the right side of history and standing up for the human rights of Palestinians.
Cori is a critical voice for peace and progress in Washington — we truly cannot afford to lose her courageous leadership, especially to someone whose vote is bought by AIPAC.
Thanks for anything you can contribute to help us keep her fighting for the people,
Geoff Simpson
Campaigns Director
Do not worry if you cannot afford to make a contribution — we understand that this is a difficult time. There are other ways to make an impact in support of peace and equality in Israel and Palestine: please urge your member of Congress to support a ceasefire through Adalah Justice Project’s petition or by calling them using Jewish Voice for Peace’s dialer here. Your voice matters in this critical moment. |
