| Friend, "Crisis Pregnancy Centers" (CPCs), or fake health clinics, are anti-abortion organizations that seek to intercept pregnant people who may be considering abortion and prevent them from accessing reproductive healthcare. Most CPCs are religiously-affiliated nonprofit organizations, and they present themselves as unbiased medical providers (even though they are not). There are 176 CPCs in California, compared to 166 abortion clinics. And when people search for "abortion clinic" on Google, they’re often being directed to CPCs instead that pretend to provide reproductive care but actually don’t even employ medical professionals. We need to put a stop to this practice. This Halloween, Courage California has joined with a coalition of advocates to use social media to fight CPCs. We have three different images you can share -- see them all here! Our coalition's website lets people look up clinics in the area and make sure that CPCs are clearly marked. They can add CPCs to a database of fake clinics. And they can spread the word on their own social media! This Halloween, we can stop more people from being tricked by fake health clinics.
