On Halloween, and every day, real horror is what happens to animals at factory farms.

The terror farmed animals face seems almost unreal, like something out of a horror film. But the reality is that their lives are filled with torture, fear, and suffering.

Every single day animals endure cruelty that would make anyone scream with terror. They are trapped in cages with no sunlight, breathing polluted air. Stuck in dreadful, crowded conditions, animals become sick or injured without help or treatment. "Frankenchickens" are bred for unnaturally fast growth, which often causes their hearts to give out, their bones to break, and their organs to fail.

The good news is, your support brings us closer to ending this horror and ushering in a new tomorrow for farmed animals.

Just this year, with your help, we accomplished so much. We collaborated with Subway—the world's largest restaurant chain—to debut a vegan chicken teriyaki sub in Mexico. We persuaded government officials across India to issue notices banning the use of cruel crates to confine pregnant and mother pigs. Combined with last year's bans, this will result in protections for around 1.5 million mother pigs and all of their piglets. We also supported Brazil's largest hotel chain in launching a plant-based cafe that will serve as a pilot aimed at expansion.
