Happy Halloween, Team.
This weekend, I got to spend time in Michigan’s 6th District meeting constituents and seeing all of the kids’ costumes. One of my favorite parts of my job is to meet, talk, and listen to constituents and it was a real treat to see all of the kids dressed up.
While I was out in the district, I kept thinking of how different things will look next year. By this time next year, we’ll be just over a week away from the presidential election — one of the most consequential elections in our lives.
2024 will be the first presidential election in Michigan where voters can vote early. That means we’ll need to work hard to reach voters well ahead of Election Day. Team Dingell is already meeting to strategize what our voter education and outreach efforts will look like next year as we work to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.
One thing that won’t change next year is the resources my team tells me we’ll need to invest in programs to reach Michigan voters. You know my least favorite part of this job is asking you for money, but I know that early investments now in the work ahead will make a big difference and help us see Democrats like me win.
I have an end-of-month fundraising deadline tonight at midnight. If you’re ready to work together so we can elect Democrats up and down the ballot in Michigan, please make a contribution today.
