Dear John,
Puma. Nike. New Balance. Diadora. These global athletic-shoe brands have responded to our “Kangaroos Are Not Shoes” campaign and pledged to end their use of kangaroos to make soccer cleats.
But there is one big outlier among the big-five athletic shoe brands: Adidas. The Germany-based athletic wear company is continuing to purchase the skins and to drive the slaughter. The night-time massacres are continuing, with the annual body count at 1.5 million kangaroos. And that includes perhaps 300,000 joeys orphaned and without maternal care. Their fate is sealed once their mom is shot.
Even Adidas understands that synthetic fabrics work great for soccer players at every level of competition. No one needs to play soccer in the skins of slain wild animals. The pros don’t. Amateurs don’t. Children don’t.
This cruelty must end, and we need your help to protect these iconic animals.
Will you join us for a webinar on November 2 at 8 p.m. ET to learn how you can play a role in taking our Kangaroos Are Not Shoes campaign to the next level? [[link removed]]
