Leading with courage and a love for all of humanity has always put a target on my back by those who want to reverse the progress our movement has built. It’s no surprise to me that I would have an opponent in this race, but I am amazed that my first opponent abandoned his Senate run challenging MAGA extremist and Trump sycophant Josh Hawley, five months in, to challenge our movement.

We can beat those who want to maintain a status quo if we stick together.

Can you make an urgent donation before the end-of-month deadline to show that our movement to dismantle white supremacy and push for real equality here and abroad is strong?

Many of the same corporate PAC’s who’ve sought out to defeat our movement are going to pour money into this new challenger’s campaign. These are the PAC’s invested in making the rich richer, protecting those in power from true accountability, and silencing anyone who speaks up for the human rights of all people. These PAC’s might have money, but we have something way more valuable: people power.

Our movement is made up of everyday people, many living paycheck-to-check, many unfairly targeted by our criminal legal system, many struggling to afford healthcare, and many just trying to make our world a better place. We have a bold, unwavering progressive vision for the future and when we work together, we will make a difference.

We won this seat together to represent the people of St. Louis in 2020 on a bold, progressive vision, and every day since being sworn into Congress I have prioritized the needs and wellbeing of my constituents. It’s why I won last year and intend to win in 2024: not for me, but for the people who want to do more than just survive in this country, they want to thrive in it.

I don’t take any money from corporate PACs, because our movement for transformative change should be people-powered. And right now we’re up against a new challenger and an end-of-month deadline. To return to Congress and continue to be the bold leader our communities need, we have to demonstrate our power now.
